This book presents the work of the noted Mexican landscape architect, Mario Schjetnan. Eighteen works are shown along with photographs, plans, drawings and sketches as well as descriptive text. The noted landscape commentator John Beardsley is the editor of the book and the author of an in-depth introduction to Schjetnan's work and design philosophy. The work is centered in and around Mexico City as well as in California.
John Beardsley lectures in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. He is the author of several books on art and landscape, including The Art of Charleston and The Low Country, published by Spacmaker Press.
